Puig de sa Morisca is an archaeological park that was opened in 2002 to the public. Moreover, the Puig de sa Morisca offers incredible views over the bay of Santa Ponça, especially from the panorama vantage point at the summit.
If you want to get a bit more nerdy with the prehistoric life of the Balearics, then head down to the Son Ferrer urban area located between Santa Ponça and Magaluf. By the entrance to the bay of Santa Ponca, you will find one of the most important landmarks in the municipality, the Cruz del Descubrimiento (Cross of Discovery). The cross marks the place where the Catalan-Aragonese troops landed in September 1229, when the island was conquered for the last time.

Sant Antoni
Sant Antoni is the most rooted tradition in the Mallorcan culture, and celebrated in most villages on the island. The festivities starts on the evening of January 16th when bonfires are lit all over Calvià village. People grill traditional Mallorcan sausages such as botifarrons and sobrassadas in the streets, and by the big bonfire in front of the church you can experience the dancing demons and the burning of the devil. Sant Antoni (Saint Anthony) is the patron saint of domestic animals and therefore very important to this traditionally agricultural society. On the day of the saint, there is a mass in the church.

Sant Sebastiá
Sant Sebastiá (Saint Sebastian) is locally believed to have prevented the plague of 1652 to affect Calvià. He is commemorated on the evening of January 20th, where bonfires are lit all over the village.
