Església Vella was an answer to a growing congregation

The temple was built around 1732, and later in 1845 expanded with a few chapels. The temple was never blessed or inaugurated as a church, but offered church services to the inhabitants of Caimari.

In 1890, the parish church of Immaculate Conception was officially taken into service, as a growing congregation of Caimari made it impossible to ignore the request for a real church.

In the period between 1890 – 1957, we only know there has been a cinema in this building, but not the exact years.

Today, the old temple here is used as a cultural activity center.
